Sessie 5

In session #5, the botany of the territory of the shrikes on the Delleboersterheide is explored. A deliberate approach under species-specific perspectives of functionality is important here.
Exploring brings about a tactile experience and physical understanding of the practical possibilities offered by the botany present. According to a 1968 treatise by Konrad Lorenz & Ursula von Saint Paul on the development of certain behavioural aspects of clawed vultures, specific form criteria in the bird’s environment act as stimuli for instinctive actions.
What happens when we start imitating the strategic actions of others without there being a necessity for these practices? To what extent do we get closer to the essence of the animal by appropriating movement patterns?
